In the recent packet switching communication networks and its applications, achieving end users’ Quality of Experience (QoE) is considered one of the crucial topics. Therefore, QoE that defined as “the overall acceptability of an application or service, as perceived subjectively by the end-user.” aims to meet user perception and expectation in any situation, and anytime, using different networking technologies and media. This paper provides in-depth point of view of recent trends and challenges in the field of QoE, definitions and factors that are essential to users of QoE since customer experience is increasingly important This paper also introduces the differences among QoE, Quality of Service (QoS) and the QoS Performance for network and various applications.
