2023 A HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM BASED ON THE HEALTH BELIEF MODEL FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS REGARDING PREVENTION OF IRON DEFICIENCY ANEMIA Turkish Journal of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation
Background: Iron deficiency anemia is a global health concern. It reflects the disturbance of the dynamic balance between production and destruction of erythrocytes and hemoglobin. Aim: This study aims to evaluate the effect of a health education program based on the health belief model for primary schools students regarding prevention of iron deficiency anemia. Study Design: A quasi-experimental study (pre and post test). Setting: This study was conducted at three mixed primary schools were selected randomly in Beni suef governorate. Sample: A multi stage random sample of 300 students.
